Call for Industry Day Presentations

Industry Day at ECIR will be held on Friday 17th April 2020, immediately after the regular conference program. Industry Day at ECIR will bring together IR researchers, practitioners, analysts, and consumers to achieve knowledge transfer across academia and industry.

We continue to encourage presentations from small companies, especially startups or spin-offs from either a university project or a larger company. We also seek proposals for talks about interesting collaborations between academia and industry, or open problems in industry that are of interest to academic and industrial IR researchers. Topics relevant to ECIR in general (as listed in the call for papers: httpsecir2020.org/call-for-full-papers/) are encouraged.

Proposals should be no longer than 2 pages.
Please include:

  • A brief company portrait
  • A short CV of the presenter(s)
  • Title and abstract of the presentation including the reasons why your experiences should be interesting to the ECIR audience

Note that at least one author commits to attend ECIR 2020 to present the work. The authors of accepted proposals will be invited to submit a 1-page abstract of the talk, which will be published online.

Submit your proposal to: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ecir2020
