The Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (NOVA) was founded in 1973, adopting a new model within the Portuguese system that stressed interdisciplinary approaches, technological developments while, at the same time, safeguarding offerings in traditional academic domains including medicine, sciences and humanities. NOVA is a young university and is among the best 50 universities with less than 50 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (NOVA) hosts nine schools, including the Faculty of Sciences and Technology (FCT NOVA). FCT NOVA is a major science and engineering school in Portugal, with 8000 undergraduate students, 600 PhD students, and 500 faculty (see (http:\/\/www.fct.unl.pt\/en).

The Department of Computer Science, founded in 1973, was the first Department to offer an Informatics Degree in Portugal. Since its beginning, the Department has been at the forefront and is currently home to one of the top research centres rate with \u201cExcellent\u201d in Informatics in Portugal, the NOVA Laboratory for Computer Science and Informatics (NOVA LINCS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WiFi: <\/strong>Free WiFi is available in all conference rooms. If your home institution has eduroam you\u2019ll be instantly connected using your credentials. An additional Open network that can be used without authentication will be available as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catering: <\/strong>Lunches and coffee break catering will be served in the Rectorate Atrium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
